Original Colt Lighting Slide Action rifle in 38-40 Winchester. This is a medium-frame Lighting rifle with a 26-inch barrel. The rifle was manufactured in 1886 according to Colt factory records. This rifle appears to have been reblued at some point. The rifle is rated 80-85% with the refinished bluing. The wood furniture is in excellent condition. There is minor blueing fading on both the top and bottom of the tang. The bore is clean and bright and the rifle functions properly. There are brass accents on the rifle and the Colt pony on the side of the receiver. Sold as-is.
